Back in the last month, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO announced that its 5G smartphone would come in Q3 2019. That schedule indicates a launch anytime between July and September. Now, the company decided to reveal that their fans will be getting the new 5G-capable handset – iQOO Pro – in August.
While not much has been revealed about the iQOO Pro, the company shared an image on Weibo revealing the rear of the handset. While the picture is purportedly made dark, we can spot a design that is very similar to the original iQOO. Interesting enough, if we use an external image editor to increase the exposure we can see a triple-camera setup.

Moreover, iQOO’s new handset should boast the latest Snapdragon 855+ SoC. We expect to see multiple RAM/Storage variants, with a 12GB RAM leading the hype. The flagship will support a whopping 120W fast-charging. It’s unclear if the iQOO Pro 5G will be the only handset revealed by Vivo in the next month. Few days ago an iQOO 5G Plus with Snapdragon 855+, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage popped out. The device is rumored to cost CNY4,498 ($655/€585) and ship with a 4,500 mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
Now, we just need to know the exact date for the launch of iQOO’s new 5G flagship. But considering that August is around the corner, it won’t take much time.
