On August 8 Realme will be showcasing its 64MP camera technology set to boast their future smartphones. Soon after the announcement, the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth changed his name on Twitter to “Madhav ‘5’ Quad”. This led the tech enthusiasts into a crazy spiral of speculations pointing to the Realme 5 as Realme’s choice to boast the brand new 64MP technology. That will not be the case, and although the Realme 5 will sport a Quad-Camera setup it won’t have the new tech inside.
An industry source from 91mobiles came to reveal that neither the Realme 5 or Realme 5 Pro will feature the 64MP sensor. The midrange duo will indeed feature a Quad-Camera setup on the back, but it won’t be the 64MP teased by the company. Instead, the vanilla Realme 5 will feature a 16MP came. The 5 Pro, in counterpart, will feature the nowaday’s standard 48MP sensor. The same source indicates that this setup won’t include a Telephoto lens.
