It’s not a secret anymore that HTC will be returning to India after stopping activities in the country back in July last year. In order to plant more anticipation over its return, the company teased a new smartphone via its Twitter account. The small teaser shows a few of the company’s history and design changes since 2007. In the end, we can clearly see a smartphone sketch with a waterdrop notch ready for a 2019 launch.
The handset in question apparently will be the rumored HTC WildFire. We saw a couple of renders in July revealing a smartphone that fit on 2019 standards with small bezels and a waterdrop notch. Moving to the back there is a dual-camera array and a beautiful glossy gradient finish. The dual-camera array comprises a 16MP + 5MP sensor, however, the function of this secondary camera is still unknown. Worth noting that there is a fingerprint scanner also on the rear. So while this is a phone for 2019, don’t expect an in-display fingerprint scanner.
