Redmi K20 Pro with 12GB of RAM to be announced on August 16

Redmi K20 Pro

Back in late May, a 12GB RAM variant of the flagship killer 2.0 aka Redmi K20 Pro was certified by TENAA. Despite the approval, the handset yet to become available for purchase. However, a new teaser may indicate that Redmi is finally ready to unveil the strongest version of its K20 Pro.

Despite the backlash suffered by the K20 lineup in India due to controversial prices, the new lineup is corresponding to Redmi expectations. To keep up the heat for the K20 series, the company is teasing a new announcement for August 16. Once again, Redmi is showing a pair of boxing gloves through the marketing material for the new event.

Moreover, the “KO” in the text makes an allusion to the Redmi K20 Pro proposal of knocking out the super expensive flagships that are available in the market. Worth noting that anything that Redmi is preparing for August 16 is being made in partnership with ONE Championship. That’s a Singapore-based sports media enterprise that dabbles in mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and grappling.

With the 12GB RAM variant ready for launch,  it could become official during the August 16 event. But for now, we recommend digesting these rumors with a pinch or two of salt.
