Li Xiang, the product manager of Vivo had shared an image of the front panel protector of the upcoming Vivo NEX 3 flagship smartphone yesterday. In that image, the display is curved extremely towards the left and right edges. Today, a sketch of the Vivo NEX 3 has been released by Li Xiang showcasing the front and rear design of the phone itself.
By looking at the image, it can be seen that the dual-edge display of the Vivo NEX 3 is extreme on the edges. According to the sketch, the bent portion of the screen is done to appear like a waterfall, going down smoothly. Hence, this display design is being referred to as a ‘waterfall display.’ There are almost no side bezels visible on this phone.

The top and bottom bezels of the phone also look exceptionally thin. This sketch indicates that the Vivo NEX 3 will be delivering up to a 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. A 3.5mm audio jack, a speaker and a microphone seems to be fitted on the upper edge of the phone, as per the sketch. There are no physical buttons on the left and right side of the phone. Unfortunately, the bottom edge of the phone is not visible in the sketch.
From the looks of it, it seems like the phone will not feature a pop-up selfie camera. Instead the company might be going for the new in-display camera technology. Same goes for the fingerprint sensor. There is a triple camera setup that is placed inside a circular housing (inspired from mechanical watches) on the back of the phone. More leaks on specifications of the Vivo NEX 3 could come soon.
