The OPPO Reno 10x lossless zoom smartphone will be getting a sequel later this month. The Chinese phone brand OPPO earlier today started sending out invites for a launch event in India on August 28 where it will launch the OPPO Reno2 smartphone. Much like the first generation series of Reno phones, the OPPO Reno 2 will come in a series, and not just alone device.
While the whole technical details remain under the wraps, the invite has a sketch of the Reno 2 which confirms a few things. First, the OPPO Reno 2 will retain the Sharkfin rising camera on the top. And secondly, the Reno 2 will come with an additional camera -up from a triple setup up to a Quad-camera arrangement. What is more, the device will include a whopping 20X zoom camera tech. We are not sure how the 20x zoom works, but we assume it is a hybrid zoom solution.

A teaser video posted by OPPO also reveals the Reno 2 will come with an Ultra Steady Video with OIS, Ultra Clear Mode, as well as Ultra Dark Mode to capture clear images even in extreme low light conditions.
OPPO Reno 2: expected specs and features
Given the length of the vertically stacked quad-camera setup, one could assume that the Reno 2 might get an in-display fingerprint scanner with an AMOLED display. The device is also expected to get the latest SD 855+, though there might be other variants with mid-range SoC.
