Aside from its 64MP camera smartphone which will be hitting the market later in Q4, Xiaomi backed Redmi is also looking to grow its portfolio with a lower-end offering. Courtesy of TENAA, we saw image/renders of an upcoming with the model number M1909C3IC earlier this week. While the regulator had earlier revealed just the images of the device alleged to be the Redmi 8, it has now updated the listing with the device’s full detail, and it all points to a low-end smartphone.
Recounting on yesterday’s listing, the TENAA listing reveals a Redmi phone with a design similar to the Redmi 7. It features a dual rear-cam setup with a LED flash, a fingerprint sensor below it, and a water-drop notch on the display front. The bezels on the sides are slim, but you get a chunk of it below the display. It is big enough to house the Redmi logo.

Redmi 8 Specs
As for specs, the alleged Redmi 8 packs a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution, and a waterdrop notch for an 8MP selfie cam. And on the flip side, the device houses a dual-camera setup comprising of a 12MP primary sensor with an 8MP sensor. We do not have the real identity of the SoC, but the listing says it is an Octa-core processor that will come with multiple RAM and storage options. It will come with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM options, and will be offered in 16GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage variants.
Lastly, the Redmi 8 as per the listing will ship with a massive 5000 mAh battery which will be the largest in any Redmi phone. We will bring you more details about the device as they surface.
