Chinese manufacturing giant, Redmi, is getting set to unveil a couple of smartphones. At least we expect the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi 8A anytime soon. Later this year, we could also have the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 8 just like it was with the “7” model. Earlier today, a real image of the Redmi 8A appeared on online. Now, we have the side profile of the upcoming Redmi Note 8. Interestingly, the image is the first real image of this smartphone.
These images do not show much but we can see the quad-rear camera setup. In addition, we have a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C interface, and a speaker grill underneath this device. As usual, the SIM slot/Memory Card interface is at the left of this smartphone. Besides these and the very smooth/rounded edges, these images show nothing else.
Gizchina News of the week
According to Lu Weibing, the smartphone with quad-rear camera setup will use Samsung’s new 64MP camera. From earlier reports, Redmi’s smartphone with the 64MP will also come with a waterdrop display. However, it will have the new MediaTek Helio G90T processor under its hood. Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, revealed that the 64MP smartphone from Redmi went into mass-production half a month ago. He also assured everyone that there will be enough stocking of this smartphone.
