Redmi Note 8 To Come With 64MP Camera Supporting 25x Zoom

The new Redmi flagship is on the way. But this time, the company didn’t focus on endurance. Redmi has developed its own 64MP camera sensor on the base of the Samsung GW1 CMOS. So when the new Redmi Note 8 comes, it will be the first in the industry with such a resolution camera. Today, the company released a new warm-up poster, which reveals some interesting information concerning the phone’s camera.

The poster emphasizes that the Redmi Note 8 series has a ‘luxury’-level imaging experience and a ‘hair- level’ ultra-clear image quality. As we can see, even after 25x zooming, the details are clearly seen.

As said, this is going to be the first 64MP camera smartphone on the globe. It has a resolution of up to 9248 x 6936 pixels and supports Remosaic photos.

This ultra-high resolution is nearly 2 times that of 8K resolution and 17 times that of 2K resolution. And the 64MP photosensitive area is as high as 1/1.7-inch, 34% higher than that of the 48MP CMOS. This camera is also combined with four-in-one 1.6μm large pixels mode. So the night shooting ability is more outstanding.

In terms of core configuration, the Redmi Note 8 series is the first to come with the MediaTek Helio G90T chip. The chip uses a dual-core Cortex A76 architecture, the GPU is the Mali-G76, and the graphics frequency reaches 800MHz.

Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, stressed that under the high-performance guarantee, the MediaTek G90 series also offers exclusive gaming features such as ‘chip-level’ network delay optimization, millisecond touch, and ‘Hollywood’ image quality specifications.

We are waiting for the Redmi Note 8 to come on August 29.
