Chinese manufacturer, Huawei, is still facing restriction from the US. The initial three-month temporary trade license has been extended for another three months. Since this whole fiasco started, Huawei’s CEO, Ren Zhengfei has been so vocal about the situation.
Today, Ren Zhengfei talked about the list of entities. He said that “the list of entities will not kill Huawei as the US hopes. When the list of entities came out, the US thought that Huawei will die. As a result, Huawei not only did not die but also lives better. … In turn, the list of entities has a greater impact on our American friends because they have been supplying us billions of dollars. Suddenly the US does not allow them to supply, and the financial sector will be greatly affected in the short term…”

Ren Zhengfei added “as for the extension of the entity list (temporary license), it has little impact on Huawei. From 5G to the core network, we can survive without relying on the United States… “The most important thing for us is the terminal list because Android software is active in billions of devices worldwide…If the United States continues its ban on us, there may be backup measures as well.”
In addition, Ren Zhengfei believes that the list of entities will not be revoked because there is no one in the US who has the voice to speak for Huawei. He reiterated that Huawei is well prepared for the arrival of the entity list.
