Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand is at the hub of the launch event. Redmi will release a couple of devices including a TV and a notebook. However, the conference started with the launch of the Note 8. According to the company, the Redmi Note 8 series serves to popularize the quad-camera setup for high-end smartphones.
The Redmi Note 8 uses a 6.3-inch full-screen display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080. In comparison with the Note 7, the screen ratio increased from 86% to 90%. The Note 8 also comes with a narrower chin and a low-blue Blu-ray certification. In addition, this smartphone features a dual 2.5D Corning’s fifth-generation gorilla. This means that the glass in front and the rear are highly resistant to physical damage. Furthermore, this smartphone uses a four-corner protection design which protects it from splash and other light fluid actions. The Redmi Note 8 will be available in three colors: ochre black, white moon, dream blue.
In the camera department, the Note 8 uses a quad-rear camera setup. The main sensor is a 48MP camera and it is supported by an 8MP super wide-angle, 2MP depth of field and 2MP super macro sensors. Upfront, this smartphone has a 13MP shooter for selfies and it supports AI beauty.
