A new post by OPPO VP Brian Shen today has fanned flames of an OPPO smartphone with 90Hz display. His post on Weibo doesn’t directly confirm the feature but hints that an upcoming handset will likely have that buttery smooth frame rate. It also hints that the new phone is not a Reno device and it is definitely not coming in Septemeber.

90Hz displays have now started to become the trend after OnePlus included them in the OnePlus 7 Pro. Users loved the improved scrolling and touch responses on it and since then it is liked by many reviewers. However, it does have disadvantages such as increased power consumption. If we were to take guess, we could say that OPPO would endow only the top flagship models like the Find X2 and the Find Y with this feature. A recent trademark leak hinted at a new slide-up camera design for the Find X2 and the Find Y could be the first commercially available in-screen camera phone from OPPO The OnePlus 7T is currently reported to come with the 90Hz display feature when it launches on September 26th in India.
