IFA2019 Europe has already started. This is a great chance for the manufacturers to demonstrate their new creations in the field of consumer electronics. However, Bang & Olufsen did not wait for the release of new products at IFA. And this company announced the new soundbar called the Beosound Stage, at the Venice Biennale.
The Beosound Stage is B&O’s second soundbar. It doesn’t have the sleek look of the previous generation Beosound 35. It returns to the usual cuboid shape, which can be hung under the TV or on the TV table. The ordinary soundbars mostly use plastic case, and the more advanced models use an iron case. The Beosound Stage case material is completely different. In addition to the common aluminum case, it also provides a bronze and oak case. So you should understand why B&O chose the Venice Biennale to release new products.
Gizchina News of the week
This soundbar has 11 speakers in the special case. Each of them is equipped with a 50W power amplifier. One of them is a large woofer and four are 4-inch speakers. This not only reduces bass distortion but also further enhances the bass. The midrange comes from a combination of speakers on both sides. Each of them consists of two 1.5-inch speakers and a 3/4-inch dome tweeter.
Also, the Beosound Stage supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and ToneTouch through B&O technology. Thus, it can be used as a wireless speaker as well. Moreover, it is B&O’s first soundbar to support Dolby Atmos, which can be used to build a virtual multi-channel home theater system with TV.
However, all these features affected the speaker’s pricing. The aluminum and bronze versions are priced at $1,750, while the oak version is up to $2,600.
