At the end of the last month, a report won the headlines hinting the launch of the Galaxy Fold to September 6. However, seems that won’t be the case. Today, Evan Blass, the reliable leakster just revealed that the launch date for Samsung’s foldable smartphone will September 27. The South-Korean firm pointed the launch for this month, although it didn’t specify the date. Samsung has chosen to ultimately skip IFA 2019 to reveal the new handset in late September.
Gizchina News of the week
Interesting enough, rumors are circulating with the information that Samsung may release the Galaxy Fold earlier on September 18 in South Korea. While these rumors can’t be confirmed, they do make sense. Back in July, Samsung issued an official statement which detailed all the improvements made to the design of the Fold. The enhancements include a revised hinge mechanism as well as an extended protective layer on top of the display. This way, Samsung hopes to prevent any particles from damaging the screen.
A big design flaw was what caused the Galaxy Fold’s launch to be postponed several months after the original release date. Hopefully, those who are still betting on the new foldable device won’t be disappointed this time around. The South-Korean reaffirms its compromise with users stating that during this long period, it has improved the user experience. According to a report, now there are several new features and app that will make better use of the large screen state.
One thing we know for sure, It’s September or nothing. If Samsung fails to release the Galaxy Fold this month, then things will be complicated.
