After a number of leaks revealed basically all the specifications of the Motorola One Zoom, the promised device has been released today at IFA.
Motorola One Zoom Specifications:
The Motorola One Zoom is a midrange device with some flagship features in the package. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 675 which comes paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage. These specs are placed underneath a 6.4-inch OLED display with a slim chin and a teardrop notch at the top for the selfie camera.
The One Zoom biggest icing on the cake is probably its Quad-Camera Setup. That’s exactly what we expect from a “Zoom” smartphone, some crazy camera features. Inside the notch, we have a 25MP selfie snapper 0.9µm pixels and Quad Pixel technology for improved low-light performance. The same technology is present in the rear Quad-Camera setup. This setup comprises a 48MP sensor (0.8µm) with a bright f/1.7 lens and optical image stabilization coupled by an 8MP telephoto cam with 3x optical zoom and OIS. There’s also a 16MP ultra-wide-angle module and a 5MP depth sensor completing the package.
Gizchina News of the week
Interesting enough, the Motorola One Zoom is also a durable device. For instance, the chassis is built out of polished 6000-series aluminum. In addition, there’s a 2.5D chemically-strengthened glass covering the OLED screen. Worth noting that Gorilla Glass 3 covers the rear part of the handset. The One Zoom includes P2i nano-coating which makes it splash-proof handset.
The One Zoom runs a custom version of Android 9 Pie, so it’s not part of the Android One program. Furthermore, there’s a 4,000mAh battery unit fueling the house. It charges with a 15W TurboCharger via USB Type C port. Moreover, the smartphone comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, Dual-Sim functionality with microSD expansion. It’s a three-slot smartphone, so you won’t need to sacrifice Dual-SIM functionality for extra storage.
Pricing and Availability
The handset is available today and comes in three color options – Violet, Bronze, and Titanium. The asking price for it is €400 (~$440) which may sound ridiculous for a device with a Snapdragon 675 chipset. Apparently, Motorola is keen that all the camera capabilities and features will justify the price of the handset. Things are especially worse if you live in Brazil, where the device is already on sale for $608.
