LG patents a new rollable display smartphone

Foldable smartphones are slowly entering the market but it appears that their development is more difficult than we know. Recall that Samsung and Huawei spent much more time on their foldable smartphones. However, this has not discouraged other manufacturers from working on foldable smartphones. LG is currently working on a foldable smartphone. From its latest patent, the display is actually rollable.

This patent was filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPRIS) as early as October 2018. However, it was only published in June this year. The patent shows a device that is the size of a smartphone. However, it can expand to a much larger size. Actually, it can roll around the housing of the phone which makes it larger than a tablet. As you can see from the patent, the screen of this device can be rolled up for easy storage; if you need it, you can expand it all.
