Foldable smartphones are slowly entering the market but it appears that their development is more difficult than we know. This patent was filed with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPRIS) as early as October 2018. However, it was only published in June this year. The patent shows a device that is the size of a smartphone. However, it can expand to a much larger size. Actually, it can roll around the housing of the phone which makes it larger than a tablet.
