The 2019 iPhones have been released a few days ago and we expect all the specs of these devices to be public. However, Apple is a bit stingy with information relating to the RAM or battery capacities of its phones. Initially, there were speculations that the 2019 iPhones use up to 6GB of RAM. However, recent GeekBench results show that no 2019 iPhone uses more than 4GB of RAM.
Looking at the RAM capacity of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, these devices all use 4GB of RAM. In addition, the performance of these devices is quite similar because they all use the latest A13 Bionic chipset. These show that the speculation of a 6GB RAM iPhone is simply a rumor and most-likely inaccurate. From the GeekBench scores, the new iPhones are about 28% better than the previous generation. GPU performance is particularly higher.

Although no 2019 iPhone will use 6GB of RAM, the 4GB capacity isn’t that bad. In addition, this is an upgrade from the 3GB RAM on the iPhone XR. Furthermore, iPhones seem to have very good software optimization thus it does not really need the RAM stacking like many Android devices. Do you think 4GB of RAM is enough for 2019 iPhones?
