Samsung could replace the Galaxy Note line by foldable phones

Galaxy Note 10

Samsung is one of the most influential brands in the world in terms of mobile technology. Their phones are still the best selling globally year after year and the thing does not seem to change. Last month, they introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and this could be the last terminal belonging to the Note family, as Samsung would be thinking of eliminating it in favor of foldable phones, according to Evan Blass.

For those of you who don’t know Evan Blass, @evleaks may sound more familiar to you. It is a well-known leaker that has continuously proven to have an impeccable reliability rating. A few days ago, he released a news bomb that went quite unnoticed, but Sammobile has managed to look at it.

Gizchina News of the week

The Galaxy Note could merge with the Galaxy S

Throughout this article, we will leave you the different tweets in which Evan Blass explained what a reliable source told him about Samsung’s flagship lines. As we can see in his tweets, Samsung would be considering changing the distribution of its high-end phones. Apparently, there are intentions to eliminate the Samsung Galaxy Note, or at least something similar, because the brand would launch a flagship in the first part of the year, a Samsung Galaxy S but with the novelty of having an S- Pen. That’s a merge of the Galaxy Note with the Galaxy S.

Why do this? Well, the only reason we can think of is to favor foldable phones. The Samsung Galaxy Fold is just around the corner (finally). And we know that Samsung is working on at least one new foldable phone. If these rumors are fulfilled, the Korean brand could use the second half of the year to present its annual folding phone.

Anyway, this decision may not be completed at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S11 (if that were its name). But if it were to be done before, we could see the first Galaxy S with an S-Pen. To finally open the market to foldable phones. Although we understand that this will also depend on the success of the Galaxy Fold.
