The OnePlus TV is expected to debut in India next week and while many of the hardware and design aspects have been teased by now, we’re being treated to a price leak for the first-ever OnePlus product in the segment. We already have expected the TV to be positioned in the premium segment but how far will OnePlus go in terms of pricing?
Gizchina News of the week
As per a leaked label that shows the India price, the OnePlus TV will cost Rs 1,49,900 in India. That is indeed on the higher end of the price spectrum when it comes to the Indian TV segment. However, as with all leaked pricing, this has to be digested with a pinch of salt. OnePlus has teased the TV will feature a 4K QLED panel, where ‘Q’ stands for quantum dots. Moreover, there could be more than one size but a 55-inch is very well confirmed. The display will boast an industry-leading wide color gamut deliver 113% (accuracy) under the DCI-P3 standard and 120% under the NTSC standard. OnePlus has also promised a premium audio experience with 8 speakers that will result in a 50W output.
OnePlus TV is expected to be powered by the MediaTek MT5670 processor. It also has a Gamma Color Magic chipset that offers dedicated picture optimization. There’s also Dolby Vision that will add ultra-vivid imaging technology to the already powerful QLED displays.
