Huawei Mate 30 series to arrive in China later this month


In a few hours, Huawei will unveil its latest flagship smartphone series – Mate 30 series in Munich, Germany. According to the information on Jingdong, the Mate 30 series will start pre-sale at 0:00 on September 20. However, the Chinese version of these smartphones is expected to arrive at the end of this month.

A recent leak on Twitter shows all the major specs of the Huawei Mate 30 Series. There are significant differences between the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. Firstly, the notch design on the Pro model is wider and it also uses a waterfall display while the Mate 30 comes with a normal display. There are also slight differences in the camera and battery.

In the core configuration, the Mate 30 series will use the Kirin 990 series chip. The Kirin 990 5G integrates the 5G Modem into the SoC for the first time. It is also the world’s first mobile terminal chip with more than 10.3 billion transistors. As per its specifications, the Kirin 990 5G chip uses Cortex A76 architecture with a combination of 2+2+4 large core CPU clocking 2.86GHz. The medium core CPU clocks 2.36GHz while the small core CPU clocks at 1.95GHz.  The GPU is Mali-G76 MP16.
