Earlier this month, Samsung re-launched the Galaxy Fold in the South Korean market. Since the original announcement, the smartphone has faced a little difficulty. Several early reviewers experienced screen damage issues with this smartphone putting the brand into an awkward position. Well, the smartphone maker has now fixed the issue with its new Galaxy Fold reboot. The foldable smartphone has already made its way to the German market. It seems like the device might soon land in India.

If the report by IANS is to be believed, some high-placed sources have confirmed that the device will see its official Indian launch on October 1. We’re already aware that the Galaxy Fold will hit the international market starting from September 27. For some reasons, the Indian launch is set for October instead. Apart from the tipped launch date, the source managed to get a rough estimate on the Indian pricing. As per the source, Samsung Galaxy Fold might arrive with a price tag ranging from INR 1.5 lakh to INR 1.75 lakh. Furthermore, the device will be up for grabs from a few selected retail stores and that too on a pre-order basis. As promised, buyers will get a specialized customer care services. It includes 24/7 offline and online support along with one-on-one access to Samsung experts.

With the Galaxy Fold reboot, Samsung has introduced some new design changes to make the device more durable. For starters, the outer protective layer now stretches beneath the bezels making it impossible to accidentally peel it off. The smartphone maker has also added T-shaped plastic caps that keep dust and debris from getting behind the display. For additional durability, Samsung has added more metal layers beneath the screen. Lastly, the gap between hinge and body is reduced.

To recall, Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a large 7.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2152×1536 pixels. When folded, you will see a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED panel having a 1680×720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. At the back, there is a triple camera module consisting of 12MP primary sensor, 12MP telephoto sensor, and 16MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there is a dual 10MP+8MP setup on larger screen and a single 10MP sensor on a smaller screen. Fueled by 4,380mAh battery, the device runs on Android 9 Pie based on One UI.
