Xiaomi Mi TV Pro sale is massive – 55-inch sells out swiftly


Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, released its latest Xiaomi Mi TV Pro on September 24th. This TV comes in three versions, 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. While the 43-inch version cost 1,499 yuan ($210), the 55-inch, and 65-inch versions sell for 2,399 yuan ($337), and 3,399 yuan ($477) respectively. The first official sale of this TV took place today and it is quite popular. As of now, only the 43-inch version is available. The other two versions sold out in a couple of seconds.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Pro adopts a 4K LCD panel with an aluminum alloy frame and a 3D carbon fiber rear. This TV uses Amlogic’s latest T972 quad-core A55 processor (clock frequency up to 1.9 GHz). The chip uses a 12nm FinFET production process. The chip is supported by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory. The Amlogic T972 SoC increases the performance by 63% relative to the previous generation. The power consumption also reduces by 55%.

More importantly, the T972 chip which jointly developed by Xiaomi TV and Amlogic is the first to support 8K video content playback. Officially, this means that Xiaomi Full Screen TV Pro is ready for the 8K TV era. In addition, Xiaomi Mi TV Pro comes with Bluetooth voice remote control. It supports one-click wake-up Xiao Ai classmate, voice search, etc.
