The Pocophone F1 was one of Xiaomi’s greatest hits in 2018. The smartphone came with great specifications and high-end SoC (Snapdragon 845) at an affordable price tag. Despite the great success, Xiaomi didn’t reveal a successor for the handset yet. We’re already in the last months of 2019, but there is nothing more than rumors about a Pocophone F2. Due to this uncertain future, some fans of the popular sub-brand are going crazy without news about the affordable flagship.
Since Xiaomi released the Redmi K20 series, many thought it would eventually replace the Pocophone series. We were actually expecting Xiaomi to release it as Pocophone F2 in India as an answer to Poco fans. However, this didn’t happen. The crescent surge of questions about Pocophone F2 is something so constant that the general manager of POCO India, C Manmohan (@cmanmohan) made a tweet about the matter.
Me: #Xiaomi India has sold 100 Million Smartphones!!
Me: #MiBand 4 is on sale today!!
Me: #DumdaarRedmi8A is coming!!
Me: Diwali offers are going to be cray cray!!Le fans: When is POCO F2 coming?

Gizchina News of the week
Pocophone fans, rejoice! Apparently, today is a great day for all the lovers of this affordable flagship series. Manu Kumar Jain, the head of Xiaomi India, may have just unintentionally teased when the much-waited POCO F2 will arrive. The company’s executive shared a photo on Twitter of him and the team lead of Redmi Business, Sneha Tainwala, having a discussion. The photo in question seems to have a clue about POCO F2’s arrival date.

Pocophone F2 in the last quarter?
Directly behind both company executives is a whiteboard with what appears to be a timeline of Xiaomi product launches. If you zoom in close enough, you will see some timelines. It shows a Mi Pad slated for May and June while further down we see the (POCO) F2 written under the last quarter of the year.
Don’t hold your breath yet! The Mi Pad (4/4 Plus) wasn’t released in India this year. This could mean that the information in the board is outdated, or maybe, just maybe are related to the next year. That would mean that Poco fans will have to wait one more year for the long-waited successor of F1. The Redmi K20 Pro is there to eat Pocophone F1 fanbase, however it isn’t so aggressively priced like the F1. Only time will tell if Poco has intentions of releasing a Pocophone F2 during Q2 2019.
POCO Team said in a tweet months ago that they are working hard on POCO F1 and that is the reason due this year not POCO F2 and could be released on 2020
