The Honor V30 is an upcoming flagship that will debut the Kirin 990 5G among Honor devices. This particular version of the latest Kirin chipset comes with an integrated 5G modem. The company may release two versions of the Honor V30 one with 5G, and another one with the non-5G version of the Kirin 990. While the launch date is still unknown, a photo emerged on Weibo showing what seems to be the Honor V30’s display.
Gizchina News of the week
The new Honor flagship is said to have very thin bezels. In addition to that, the display will ship with the notch-killing approach called “Punch hole”. However, this not like the one which came in the Honor 20 series. Instead, Huawei will be equipping the V30 with a pill-shaped notch that resembles the setup used on the Galaxy S10+. Interestingly enough, this pill notch serves as a house for two camera sensors. If the above image really shows the Honor V30, then it will come with a powerful dual-camera setup on the front.
The position, however, is different from what Samsung used on its Galaxy flagship. The Honor V30 punch hole on the top-left corner of the display. The display type isn’t known, but we sincerely expect to see an AMOLED one. If this is the case, then, Huawei could easily fit a in-display fingerprint scanner. The Honor V20 was released in December 2018. If Huawei decides to keep that schedule, then we still have some months to wait until the Honor V30 comes to the market.
