An official-looking press render of the Google Pixel 4 has surfaced, as a courtesy from Evan Blass. The new render gives us the best look yet of the handset but also confirms pretty much everything we’ve been hearing in the past few weeks.
As we can clearly see, the Pixel 4 features small bezels on three sides. However, the top bezel is thick as it houses the selfie camera and an earpiece. In addition, all hardware necessary for the Motion Sense technology will be placed there. The design doesn’t feel strange, but it feels like a throwback in 2016-2017’s flagships design. Back in those days, no one would believe that a “notch” would revolutionize the smartphone market.

The render also reveals a new wallpaper which has the letter ‘P’ and the number ‘4’, in five different colors. These colors are present in the Google logo. Moving on to the back, Apple fans will feel nostalgic, we have two cameras housed inside a square-shaped island with a flash module keeping them company. They aren’t exactly similar to the ones on iPhone 11 series, however, this will not be enough to avoid comparisons.
The back of the Pixel 4 flaunts the ‘G’ logo, and interestingly enough, it lacks a fingerprint scanner. There are two possibilites: First, the Pixel 4 will come in-display fingerprint scanner, or the second, it will have a face unlock for biometric authentication.
The Pixel 4 and 4 XL will both be revealed on October 14. However, we believe that more details will emerge in the coming days. After all, Google isn’t the best in keeping their smartphones in secret.
