The news of wireless headphones is particularly rich right now. While actors like Sony, Huawei or Apple present models whose strong point is the active noise reduction and that Microsoft equips its Earbuds with a translator in real-time, LG surprises and presents the Tone+ Free headphones with a unique and original functionality. By incorporating an anti-bacterial UV lamp into the charging case, the Korean manufacturer guarantees that the earphones will always be clean. It is the first company to offer a product that cares so much about ear hygiene.

The rest of the features are more traditional. There is a touchpad on each earphone to make calls, control music playback or make a request to Google Assistant. The Headphones have IPX4 certification, which means they are resistant to all weather conditions and water splashes, but not to immersion. So it’s safe to use them during a winter jog, but not to swim at the pool.
If the previous LG wireless headphones offered only three hours of autonomy, this new generation should double that time. It is still unknown how many recharges will allow the case.
The Tone+ Free earphones will be launched on the Korean market by the end of the month in black. To obtain them in white, it will be necessary to wait until November. They are available for 259,999 won, or around $218. LG did not specify whether the marketing will be extended internationally.
