Galaxy Fold sold out in India on first pre-order

Samsung Galaxy Fold

Samsung managed to get the Galaxy Fold up for pre-order just in time for the Diwali shopping season in India. Samsung’s first-ever foldable is priced Rs 1,64,999. Samsung started taking pre-orders just yesterday via Samsung’s official online store and offline in 35 cities across select 315 outlets in India. However, the online store itself received 1600 orders within a matter of 30 minutes which cleared out the whole stock.

Buyers of the luxury product will be able to get their hands on the devices delivered to them through a concierge on October 20, along with a dedicated expert on call 24×7. The foldable will also get a one-year “Infinity Flex Display Protection” and comes in 12GB +512GB version. The company has now closed the pre-bookings of “Galaxy Fold” in India for some time, as the initial stock was limited, as per a report by Economic Times.  The Galaxy Fold box will include Galaxy Buds and a slim Aramid Fiber case along with care instructions that will guide you on how to use the Fold.

The Galaxy Fold sports a world-first Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display. When unfolded, the clamsheel boasts a 7.3-inch QXGA+ (2152×1536) AMOLED display while there’s also a secondary 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display on the outside.  There are also cameras galore. There’s a 10MP selfie camera on the cover, a 10MP + 8MP dual-camera setup on top of the inner flexible screen, and a triple camera setup on the back.
