The US and some other countries have been accusing Huawei in using spy technologies in their products. And this statement referred not only to the smartphones but also to the 5G equipment and others. Though Huawei is one of the leaders in the world in terms of supplying 5G equipment, there are still many governments not believing in Huawei. That’s why before using this or that technology, service, or product offered by this company, they conduct a survey. The United Arab Emirates is no exception. Recently, Reuters reported that the United Arab Emirates telecommunications company chief technology officer (CTO) Saleem Albalooshi said that ‘we did not find any evidence of security concerns about Huawei’s 5G technology.’
‘Huawei is our partner in rolling out our 5G network… From a security perspective.. we have our own labs in the UAE and we visit their labs… we have not seen any evidence that there are security holes specifically in 5G,’ Albalooshi said.
