On September 16th, Vivo officially released the NEX 3 5G, featuring a “Waterfall screen” and three virtual buttons. Today, the Chinese phone maker announced that a new NEX 3 5G “three-body joint gift box” variant will be officially selling on the asian e-stores Jingdong and Tmall, with a starting price of 5698 yuan (around $800) for the 8GB+256GB memory version.
Vivo NEX 3 Now Available in a Limited 500 Piece Edition
According to the official introduction by Vivo, the NEX 3 5G three-body joint gift box will be limited to 500 sets. The overall design of the gift box is inspired by the universe in the “Three-body” – a hard science fiction novel by the Chinese writer Liu Cixin. The box uses a three-body classic six-pointed star outline and a ghost countdown design. It also includes a three-body customized “three-day volley” phone case and a “water drop” cover notebook.
In terms of mobile phone hardware, the NEX 3 5G three-body joint model is identical to the regular version. So we have the very unique front panel with an uninterrupted waterfall screen design. The display is 6.89 inches and the screen to body ratio is as high as 99.6%. The smartphone also equips the latest and powerful Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
