The iPhone SE 2 has to be one of the longest rumoured phones of all time, however, it seems the handset will finally be official next year, states a fresh report by popular Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo. Now Kuo has previously also hinted at an iPhone SE 2 to launch this year but that did not come to pass. This time around, Kuo also has some more details to add more water to his report though.
Do note that the iPhone SE 2 moniker isn’t confirmed but it is presumably derived from Apple’s current iPhone SE product name. Coming to the details, Kuo believes the second-gen iPhone SE will have an A13 CPU which is the same as the iPhone 11 and that would be a great upgrade. Along with it, we expect 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage options.
There are currently no leaked images like last time, but Kuo expects the new phone to adopt the form factor of the iPhone 8. The most important part of Kuo’s report comes in the form of price projection which the analyst pegs to be $399. The device is now tipped to launch in the first quarter of 2020. If this price projection ends up being true, the iPhone SE 2 might very well become the highest-selling phone on Apple’s portfolio. After all, the SE line is also a formidable phone in that regard.
