The Pixel 4 and 4 XL will become official tomorrow, however, they won’t big great surprises considering that we know pretty much everything about them via the constant leaks. Now a retail package has emerged on Reddit, revealing a curious detail about the Pixel 4 series. Unlike the last year’s model that came with wired Pixel earbuds in the box – the new pixel smartphones won’t include them.
This isn’t a big surprise, after all, previous leaks have been teasing this fact. However, we now got the confirmation via this leak. In addition, the Pixel 4 series will also be missing a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack. As a result, the Pixel 4 won’t bring a very user-friendly experience for users that still rely on 3.5mm headphones. If you didn’t make a switch to the wireless or digital earphone technology yet, then you’ll need to purchase a separate USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to make use of the legacy technology. Despite the lack of these accessories, the retail package still includes a Quick Switch adapter (USB-C to USB-A).
Gizchina News of the week
No Fast-Charging capabilities for the Pixel 4 series
The charger is just like the previous one. It’s an 18W USB Power Delivery charger that features a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect your phone. This ultimately put the last nail on people’s hopes of any quick-charging technology in the new Pixel duo. The Pixel 4 XL will feature a 3,700mAh battery, which is adequate but slightly below 2019’s flagship standards. The smaller variant, in counterpart, comes with just 2,800mAh of capacity. This is a really underwhelming capacity, and we are curious about which kind of sorcery Google will use to deliver a proper battery life on this smaller handset.
Google’s Pixel announcement event is tomorrow. Now the only things that haven’t leaked completely are the prices and availability dates for all regions. Stay tuned for the complete coverage tomorrow.
