A few hours ago, OnePlus officially released the OnePlus 7T with a 90Hz display in China. The major selling point of the smartphone is its 90Hz screen. According to OnePlus, 7 games are currently compatible with the OnePlus 7T 90Hz refresh rate. These games include “Peace Elite”, “Ace Warrior”, “Fortress Frontline”, “QQ Speed”, “Crossing the FireWire”, “Quantum Special Attack”, and “New Swordsman” will all support the 90Hz high refresh rate mode.

“90Hz” actually represents the screen refresh rate. The higher the Hertz value, the smoother and more natural the screen we see. Although the human eye can’t recognize the changes of all 90 frames in one second, it can fill in more details in the transition process. This ensures that the performance is smoother especially during gaming. In addition, the sliding operation on a phone with a higher refresh rate is also better.
Recently, Samsung’s first 90Hz experimental report shows that its dynamic picture response speed (MPRT) increased by 40% relative to OnePlus 6T (60Hz). This means that a high refresh rate (90Hz) can achieve a faster picture refresh than a normal refresh rate (60Hz); thus better and faster elimination of visual residue for a smoother and more comfortable display.
