8848 Titanium M6 5G luxury smartphone unveiled in China as the “first” smartphone with Snapdragon 865

The Chinese luxury smartphone manufacturer, 8848, held an event today in Beijing to share some details about the company’s plan for the future of its smartphone division. The company, which also celebrated its anniversary this year, took the opportunity to unveil its latest luxury smartphone – the  8848 Titanium M6 5G. The smartphone not only bears 5G connectivity but also is the first smartphone to be announced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865.

The Snapdragon 865 should be widely available in the next year’s flagships, but 8848 took a step beyond the competition by announcing a smartphone with it. While most of the competition is taking advantage of the Snapdragon 855+, the Titanium M6 5G will be running with next-level performance. Details about this particular chipset are yet to be disclosed by Qualcomm, however, it should deliver a monstrous performance. According to reports, Qualcomm will wait until November to share the full details about the SD865.

8848 Titanium M6 5G specifications:

When it comes to the smartphone, it boasts a 6.01-inch AMOLED display, 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Furthermore, it ships with a 64MP shooter that can capture up to 100MP photos via advanced interpolation. This spec sheet sounds like a dream for the lovers of hardware. However, hold your breath, since the Titanium M6 won’t be available until the next year. The reason is that the Snapdragon 865 shouldn’t be ready until the next year. Therefore, the M6 “actual” launch will only happen in 2020. Despite this fact, we can say that it is the first smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 865.

8848 also revealed a personal assistant service for its customers. While other companies are shipping AI-based smart assistant, 8848’s assistant service has real people. Apparently, this Over-the-air service will handle some tasks for customers with realistic interactions. That’s a strange proposal, so we need to wait and see how this will work.
