Unreleased 16-inch MacBook Pro images appear in latest macOS beta

A French Blog that has been testing the latest release of macOS Catalina Beta Build (10.15.1) found an interesting picture of an unreleased MacBook Pro. The laptop in question appears in renders found in the resource files of the build. The device has a 16-inch display and appears in Silver and Space Grey colors.

This new MacBook Pro has a relatively smaller bezel size around the display. Furthermore, the “macbookpro-16-silver” and “macbook-pro-gray” file names suggest that we are looking at a new iteration of Apple’s popular laptop family. The renowned Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, mentioned a device with such characteristics in the past.

Gizchina News of the week

According to some rumors, the new 16-inch laptop will boast  3,072 x 1920 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it will come with Intel’s 9th generation Coffee Lake processors. We believe that the chipset will be specifically the octa-core i9, since it is available in the current 15-inch MacBook Pro. Moreover, this new laptop may fix all flaws with the butterfly switches, bringing a new scissor-style keyboard mechanism.

The major upgrade will undoubtedly be the bigger display. Interestingly enough, seems that Apple has managed to cut the bezels and may deliver a new model with a bigger display but the same size as the 15-inch device. Another potential upgrade likely to debut on the bigger MacBook is a Mini-LED display. However, this latter technology wouldn’t be ready until the next year.

For now, we will need to wait until more information appears regarding this new MacBook Pro.
