Last week, Xiaomi India unveiled the Redmi Note 8 series in the country. As of now, these new smartphones from Xiaomi are arguably one of the best in their price segments. Both the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are now on sale for the first time today on Mi.com and Amazon India.
The Redmi Note 8 series in India comes with some additional features and in-box accessories that aren’t available to other regions. Those include an 18W fast charger in the box for both phones and a dedicated microSD card slot as well as Alex built-in the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Above all, they are priced similar to the Chinese versions to compete against the growing threats from other brands in the Indian smartphone industry.
The regular non-pro Redmi Note 8 starts at ₹9,999 for the base 4GB/64GB variant and goes up to ₹12,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at ₹14,999, ₹15,999, and ₹17,999 for 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB variants respectively. The launch offers from Amazon India includes 10% instant discount up to ₹2,000 on Debit/Credit cards of Axis Bank and Citi Bank respectively.
