OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro: here is a first overview of the datasheet

OnePlus 8

According to the leak that appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo, and relayed by our colleagues at Wccftech, the OnePlus 8 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. As a reminder, the SoC will be presented in the course of November 2019.

OnePlus 8: Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support

This is not at all a surprise. The Chinese brand always relies on the last processor of the firm. This year, the OnePlus 7 are also equipped with the Snapdragon 855. The OnePlus 7T enjoy the Snapdragon 855+, a boosted chip for gaming. The Snapdragon 865 is expected to have a built-in X55 modem.

Unlike the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro would be compatible with the 5G networks. This was already the case of the OnePlus 7 Pro launched last May. The brand had finally not seen the interest of marketing a second device 5G, which is very similar to the previous one.

OnePlus 8 Pro: ToF 3D sensor and 4500 mAh battery

Shortly after, a second leak came to reveal the technical data sheet of the OnePlus 8 Pro. The Pro version would be equipped with a quadruple-camera sensor consisting of a main module of 48MP, a secondary 12MP sensor and a third 16MP sensor, accompanied by a ToF sensor dedicated to the depth of field.

Moreover, the Pro variant would be powered by a 4500mAh battery (against 4085mAh for the OnePlus 7T Pro) compatible with Warp Charge 30T. The manufacturer would propose this time a variant with 512 GB of internal storage. On the front, a 24 MP selfie camera would be housed in a tiny hidden hole in the left corner. This leak thus joins the published 3D renderings of OnePlus 8 Pro published by OnLeaks.

While waiting for more information, we obviously invite you to take these leaks with caution. This information remains consistent with the strategy of OnePlus and with previous rumors. As a reminder, the devices are not expected before May 2020. We will tell you more as soon as possible.
