Realme smartphones to receive a custom branch of ColorOS 7 that will be close to stock Android

Realme

Realme has been building a solid relationship with its user’s community through various platforms. There’s an interesting series of videos at YouTube, where no one else than Realme’s Indian Head, Madhav Seth answers questions made by users. The latest episode of AskMadhav was pretty interesting – especially if you’re a fan of stock Android.

According to Madhav Seth, instead of updating smartphones to ColorOS 6.1, they will go straight to ColorOS 7.0. While some rumors are pointing to the debut of a RealmeOS, it seems that the company has no plans of moving from ColorOS. By the way, they will build a custom branch of ColorOS that will be close to what we see in vanilla Android.

Another question was about the wide-angle video recording mode. According to the CEO, All quad-camera Realme phones will gain support for this. That includes the Realme 5, 5 Pro and Realme XT. It’s important to remember that an update is rolling out today for a limited amount of users that enables the record mode in the wide-angle video recording on the 5 Pro. So, the other devices should follow soon.

Last but not least, fans asked the biggest question – When the Realme X2 Pro will be available in India? According to the stream, it will come in mid-November. Madhav also teased a fitness accessory coming soon. The video covers a lot of different topics – Realme 3i vs. Redmi 8, online vs. offline prices, offline availability of the XT, Camera 2 API for older Realme smartphones and more. So if you’re an enthusiast don’t lose the opportunity to see the entire video.
