Earlier this month, Xiaomi released a comprehensive list of both Redmi and Xiaomi phones that will get its proprietary MIUI 11 update. Right on schedule, the Redmi K20 started receiving the update a few days ago, and now the brand has started seeding the MIUI 11 stable update to one more devices on the list.
Although Xiaomi/Redmi has yet to officially announce the roll-out or even provide a download link, a number of the Redmi Note 7 Pro users have confirmed receiving the update in India. The confirmation comes via the MIUI forum, and as expected some users have yet to see such an update. That is expected, given that it is been rolled out in a phased manner.
Gizchina News of the week
Rolling out as the MIUI.0.5.0.PFHINXM, the update is based on Android 9, weighs at 746MB and comes with October 2019 Android security patch. We do not have specific changelogs, however, users can expect the usual MIUI 11 features including a new minimalistic design, new dynamic sound effects, a new MI File Manager app, Floating Calculator, as well as Steps Tracker, and more.
For those yet to get the MIUI 11 stable update on their Redmi Note 7 Pro, a little more time will do, otherwise, we advise you go to your device’s About Phone > System Update to check for the update. We also advise you have your device’s backed up, while you install it under a good Wi-Fi connection.
