Xiaomi is set to announce their first-ever smartwatch (we’re presuming it will be called Mi Watch) at an event in China scheduled for 5th November. The company will be also unveiling Mi CC9 Pro smartphone with a whopping 108MP Penta-camera setup and Mi TV 5 at the same event.

Since announcing the November 5 launch date for the Mi Watch , Xioami has been dropping teaser images for the past 24 hours continuously. The first teaser of the Mi Watch did not say much about the wearable. However, the second one which was posted by none other Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO confirmed the design of this upcoming smartwatch. Looking at the image, one can easily say the smartwatch will be literally a look-alike of the Apple Watch with a rectangular screen and (even) a crown on board when it will be official next week. It will be available in black and silver colour options according to the teaser image.

Gizchina News of the week

A few hours earlier, Xiaomi posts next set of teasers for the Mi Watch revealing some of the specifications along the way. Two of these teasers showcase the internals of the watch with one of them explicitly confirming the presence of Qualcomm Wear 3100 chip. Whereas, another one corroborates the existence of WiFi, GPS, CPU, NFC, linear motor, speaker, and a large capacity battery. Nothing is known about the software it will run as of now, but there are chances of it being based on the Android Wear platform.

More information about the Mi Watch including the price will be disclosed by Xiaomi on 5th November. Till then, expect even more promotional material in the coming days. There are some other big products such as a portable Air Conditioner, Mi TV 5, and the Mi CC9 Pro as well to be unveiled at the same event.
