Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is consistently working on its in-house system which is a skin on top of Android OS. Over the years, MIUI is one of the top Android customizations. However, this statement largely depends on user preference. At the recent Xiaomi developer conference, Xiaomi Internet deputy general manager, Qiao Zhongliang, explained MIUI’s strategy for the next 2-3 years.
Qiao Zhongliang said that MIUI will use AI’s method to connect mobile phones and IoT platforms. It hopes to use this to build a smart life experience with human core and security privacy. It hopes to become the industry leader in intelligent systems and the coolest system in users’ minds.

Qiao Zhongliang also said that Xiaomi will also open up a series of system capabilities and platforms. It will also create the next-generation Internet application with developers.
According to reports, MIUI smart living system now has features such as smart office (MI Work), sports health (MI Health), smart travel (MI Go), smart home (MI Home), game (MI Game), etc. Furthermore, other capacities include AI, security privacy, connectivity, UI, applications Framework, system services, etc. MIUI plans will revolve around AI and IoT applications which are becoming mainstream applications.
