Vivo is planning to expand its Y-lineup by adding yet another smartphone dubbed Vivo Y9s to the series. The smartphone will see its official launch anytime soon in China. As of now, there are three smartphones namely Vivo Y3, Vivo Y5s, and Vivo Y7s in the Y-lineup. Recently, a smartphone with the name Vivo Y9s surfaced on the China Telecom listing. As expected, the listing revealed a few of the key specifications of the device. Surprisingly, the spec sheet is quite similar to the previously-launched Vivo S1 Pro. For those who’re unaware, the Chinese smartphone maker recently launched the S1 Pro in the Philippines.
Vivo Y9s: Price, Availability
According to the listing, the smartphone will go official on November 24 i.e. tomorrow in the Chinese market. Coming to the price tag, the device will set you back around 2,198 Yuan (roughly $312). We might see a different price tag during the official unveiling. Lastly, the device will come in three different color variants namely Glazed Black, Nebula Blue, and Magic Clear Sky.

It is also worth noting that Vivo recently launched another rebranded version of S1 Pro dubbed Vivo V17 in Russia. The smartphone shares the same design and specifications as that of S1 Pro. Furthermore, Vivo S1 Pro is expected to hit the Indian market in the coming days with the NFC connectivity option.

Vivo Y9s, the rebranded Vivo S1 Pro, features a 6.38-inch AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The display also features a waterdrop notch housing a 32MP selfie camera. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 655 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory. The smartphone has a unique diamond-shaped rear camera module that consists of a 48MP primary sensor along with 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP remaining lenses.
The smartphone runs on the Android 10 operating system and is backed by a 4,500mAh battery packed inside. For biometrics, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor along with software-enabled face unlock. The device uses the latest USB Type-C port with the support of 18W fast charging.
