Vivo X30’s latest ad teases Periscope’s camera capabilities

Vivo is gearing up to unveil the Vivo X30 in the next month, and thanks to a myriad of rumors and leaks we got some details about it. Apparently, Vivo will unveil two variants of the X30. Both versions will boast Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset with an integrated dual-mode 5G modem. In addition, the two versions will have quad-camera setups. Yesterday, we got a quick glimpse of the handset’s vertical aligned cameras. Today, a new video ad comes to tease the periscope’s camera capabilities.

According to the latest teaser, the periscope unit will have 13MP and 60X zoom capabilities. If you’re familiar with the matter you know that this 60X zoom goes through hybrid zoom. The optics should be in line with current offerings with up to 5X of optic zoom. The digital enhancements and the software are responsible for doing the “magic”. We are curious to see what Vivo is preparing for the X30.

The X30 series will come in two sizes with a smaller 6.5-inch version which will boast up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with a 4,500 mAh battery. The Quad-Camera setup will comprise of 64MP + 13MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. The other variant will come under Vivo X30 moniker and will have a bigger 6.89-inch display. The company will equip it with 12 GB RAM and a 60MP + 12MP + 13MP +13MP camera array. Last but not least, both versions will sport a 90Hz display.
