Xiaomi recently added another smart product dubbed Mi Smart LED Desk Lamp 1S in the Indian market. The all-new desk lamp is the successor to the previously launched first-gen Mi Smart LED desk lamp. For those who’re unaware, the first-gen never made its way to India. This makes it the company’s first such product in the country. Here is everything you need to know about the product. The smartphone maker also has a non-smart lamp dubbed Mi Rechargeable LED lamp in its Indian portfolio.

Coming to the design, the all-new smart lamp features a foldable design allowing it to be adjusted to an angle of 135 degrees. The foldable design allows the lamp to easily fit anywhere making it a portable option. The entire lamp is made up of metal and follows the sleek, minimal and modern design ideology. The base of the lamp consists of a small knob through which users can control brightness as well as the color temperature. Clicking the knob can turn off or on the lamp while rotating adjusts the brightness. The rotating while pressing the knob, on the other hand, will control color temperature.

Since this is the smart lamp we’re talking about, the product is compatible with the Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. Alternatively, you can also control the lamp via its companion app available on both Android and iOS platforms. There are four different modes namely Reading mode, Computer mode, Child mode, and Focus mode. You can also switch to focus mode by double-clicking the knob.

Price in India, Availability

Xiaomi Mi Smart LED Desk Lamp 1S comes with a price tag of INR 2,999 (roughly $42). As of now, the product is up for crowdfunding with an offer price of INR 1,999 (roughly $28). The smartphone maker is targeting 1000 units in seven days and so far, 273 units are funded. Once the crowdfunding project ends, the product will start shipping next month i.e. December 2019.
