When it comes to its current flagships, Asus is proving to be efficient in providing Android 10 updates for them. The company already released the update for Asus ZenFone 6 and recruited members for the beta-testing program in the ROG Phone 2. However, it hasn’t been this way with previous smartphones. For instance, the Asus ZenFone 4 which was promised to receive Pie is now stuck with a bug beta and there are no plans of bringing it for Android Pie. Just like the old smartphone, we have the Asus ROG Phone that came with Android 8.1 Oreo and never got a taste of Android 9 Pie. Until now.
All of sudden, the Taiwanese firm started to roll out the long-awaited Android 9 Pie update for the gaming smartphone. It was a long wait since the device came in July 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo. Now, while most companies are talking about Android 10 update, Asus’ first gaming’s smartphone is getting the last year’s Android release. The update will bring some heat for the core of ROG Phone owners, we all know that it is probably the end of the line for this smartphone.
