Apple iPhone 11S series will encounter a large-scale replacement

According to Taiwan Electronic Times, Apple will launch three new iPhones (or iPhone 11S series) in the second half of 2020. From the report, the total shipment of this series will reach 110 million to 120 million units. This is basically because of analysts expect the iPhone 11S era to usher in a larger wave of phone replacement.

The last large-scale wave of Apple iPhone users was in the era of iPhone 6/iPhone 6s. In July of this year, Apple officially discontinued the production of iPhone 6 series in the global market. According to statistics, the cumulative shipments of Apple’s iPhone 6 series exceed 250 million units. This remains the highest shipment series in the iPhone family.

The analysis agency believes that the iPhone 11S era will be similar to the iPhone 6. Furthermore, the 5G compatibility will force another wave of large-scale iPhone replacements. The iPhone 11S, iPhone 11S Pro, and iPhone 11S Pro Max will arrive in 2020, and all three will be 5G phones. This series will use 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch OLED displays. Among them, Samsung Display will provide 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch OLED screens while LG Display will supply the 6.1-inch OLED screens.

Earlier, according to Guo Minghao’s report, the iPhone SE2 phone will arrive in early 2020 with an A13 chip. It will have 3GB of RAM and expunge the pressure sensing module (3D Touch). The price starts from $399, and it is expected to become a substitute for the iPhone 6 and 6S series. iPhone 7 / iPhone 8 users can upgrade to iPhone 11 / 11S 5G series phones.
