Samsung The Wall TVs go official in India with astronomical prices


Samsung has finally brought the most premium range of smart TVs to India today. Dubbed as The Wall, these TVs with micro-LED panels were first showcased at the CES 2019 trade show way back in January. It took almost one year to bring them to Indian shores. Also, the retail prices aren’t for the light-hearted. The Wall smart TV doesn’t come cheap as the technology implemented is relatively new.

The large-format micro-LED, ‘The Wall’ range of smart TVs by Samsung will be available in three sizes in India starting at a whopping ₹3.5 crore. The smallest variant features a 146-inch panel with 4K resolution and costs ₹3.5 crore. The second variant comes with a 219-inch 6K resolution panel, whereas the largest model sports a 292-inch 8K resolution panel and costs a jaw-dropping amount of ₹12 crore.  The shocker is these prices still don’t include taxes which will be levied on purchase.

‘The Wall’ range of Samsung TVs feature Quantum HDR technology and can refresh at 120Hz to provide a better and smoother viewing experience than normal smart TVs. The brand claims 100,000-hour lifetime for the diodes used in the TVs which can reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Additionally, the TVs comes with Quantum Processor Flex technology and AI picture quality engine for all the AI-based features including upscaling, optimization, and calibration.

The Samsung ‘The Wall’ range of smart TVs are already up for registration and will be exclusively available at Samsung Briefing Centre, Gurgaon.
