The year 2020 will be the beginning of wider 5G rollout and hence there will be a vast number of 5G smartphones from different OEMs. Some companies like Redmi and Oppo don’t even want to wait till next year which is just a month away to introduce their new dual-mode 5G phones.
Therefore, Oppo has been teasing its Reno 3 Pro 5G which is expected to launch by the end of 2019. The brand has already confirmed the design and some of the specs like battery capacity as well as thickness. But now, the entire specifications of the phone has been leaked, courtesy of Digital chat station on Weibo.
According to the source, the Reno 3 Pro 5G will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which will be also utilized by Redmi K30 5G whose launch is scheduled for this coming Monday. On the front, the phone will sport a 6.5-inched curved OLED display as seen in the teaser posted by the brand’s Vice President, Brian Shen. Additionally, the screen will have a 90Hz refresh rate which has now become a beloved feature after OnePlus popularised it earlier this year.

Digital chat station also adds that the phone will feature a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP sensor with a telephoto lens, a 13MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP unknown sensor(could be either depth or macro unit). The camera setup will also include OIS but it is not clear whether only the primary sensor will have it or both the primary and the telephoto unit. Lastly, the phone will support 30W fast charging, probably the company’s new VOOC 4.0 Flash charge technology.
Further, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G will be the thinnest(7.7mm thickness) dual-mode 5G smartphone with a decent 4,025mAh battery. Though the phone is expected to be unveiled before the end of December, the company has still not announced the launch date.
