Redmi K30 India launch on the cards as it clears BIS

Redmi will be unveiling the much-awaited Redmi K30 in China in a few hours from now. The phone is expected to come in both 4G and dual-mode 5G variants as per the teasers and leaks. Unsurprisingly, the 4G version of K30 has been now spotted on India’s BIS certification website just a day ahead of its global launch.

As per the BIS certification listing, the Redmi K30 for India will bear the model number M1912G7BI and will be assembled by Flextronics Technologies, one of the manufacturing partners of Xiaomi other than Foxconn. The launch date is yet unknown as the Indian division of the company has not teased it yet but we can expect that to happen soon after the global debut of the phone in China on Tuesday.

Coming to the specifications of the Redmi K30 4G, it will be similar to its 5G counterpart sans different silicon, instead of the newly announced Snapdragon 765G with integrated 5G modem. Which means it will come equipped with the same 6.67-inches FHD+ dual punch-hole IPS panel with 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP Sony IMX686 quad-camera setup, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack with Hi-Res audio, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
