At the Qualcomm Technology Summit in December this year, Wu Qiang, Vice President of OPPO, explained that in the Q1 of next year, the new OPPO Find X series will be launched with Snapdragon 865 chip. Thus, with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S11, we will also see the OPPO Find X2.
The news that the OPPO Find X series is updated again after two years has attracted the attention of many people. So the manufacturer decided to disclose some information concerning the OPPO Find X2.
Gizchina News of the week
- The new phone will be called the OPPO Find X2 will be the name of the new machine.
- OPPO will launch a custom sensor with Sony on the OPPO Find X2. It will come with All Pixel Omni-directional PDAF.
- The screen quality of this phone will be greatly improved.
As for Sony’s custom sensor, it seems OPPO was talking about the 2×2 On-Chip Lens solution. It was announced by Sony a few days ago. This solution describes an image sensor technology that can achieve high-speed focusing, high resolution, high sensitivity, and high dynamic range. Previously, all-pixel dual-core focusing technology was commonly used in camera sensors to increase the focusing speed. But this technology divided each pixel into two sub-pixels. And only one of them participated in imaging. The 2×2 On-Chip Lens solution allows each pixel to participate in both focusing and imaging, thereby improving picture quality and focusing speed.
Also, it avoids some shortcomings of full-pixel dual-core focusing. It’s done because each pixel in the 2×2 On-Chip Lens solution can participate in focusing. Say, the information cannot be captured without changing the texture on the horizontal.
