This morning, the Huawei Voice Community released a summary of Ren Zhengfei’s interviews with Latin American and Spanish media. In this interview, Ren Zhengfei talked about 5G development in Latin America, Huawei’s Hongmeng system, and the temporary license extension. According to Ren Zhengfei, he was due for retirement but the constant suppression by the US motivates him.

Ren Zhengfei believes that the first 5G in Spain will build the best 5G network in Europe. According to him, Huawei can make a model in Europe. “We are very confident. Second, we have cooperation with Telefonica in Latin America and also support Telefonica in Latin Development of the Americas”.

On the temporary license extension, Huawei’s founder said that it has no effect on Huawei. When asked about the HongMeng system and if it will replace Android, Ren Zhengfei said that the HongMeng system is open source for each country and supports SMEs in each country. Everyone has the capacity to develop on this platform.

Furthermore, Huawei has a deep learning cluster in Songshan Lake. It sells this cluster to various countries. Each country learns on the cluster and deep learning to form its own digital sovereignty. Huawei supports countries to form their own digital sovereignty.
